Slinghopper pro tennis feed bag, thought it was a cool tool for feeding tennis balls

Hello Atlanta tennis group normally this blog is writen for tennis players, this article is really more for Tennis pro's like myself, I found a neat I item on-line Called a SlingHopper Pro Bag, thought it was interesting thought I would do a article on it, thought it was pretty clever.
The Basket Method
Tennis teaching professionals and coaches have always used the traditional metal ball basket when feeding balls to their students. Its design and method of use has been unchanged for over 4 decades. The traditional basket comes in many sizes and styles and can hold from 30 to 80 balls. Most of the baskets on the market rest on stationary legs that fold up when not in use. Many baskets are not very sturdy. Legs must be locked in to prevent the basket from wobbling. Often the teaching pro hits the basket while stroking, or the student may hit the basket while returning a feed. This causes the basket to fall, spilling the balls. This constant distraction breaks up the rhythm of the lesson. Traditional baskets are often to cumbersome to carry, weighing as much as 35 pounds. The excessive weight and bulkiness can often cause injuries to shoulders and arms when lugging or lifting.

Using the traditional basket, the feeder grabs 2 to 3 balls and starts feeding. The basket remains fixed to the same spot until the teaching pro moves it to another court position. This inflexibility limits the teaching pro’s ability to feed balls from various court positions without first returning to the basket for more balls or to reposition the basket. This action distracts the teaching pro and student, leads to loss of feed rhythm and takes away valuable time from the lesson. if you would like to check it out:

The 19th annual USPTA Tennis Across America will be celebrated on May 10, 2008. Just like in previous years, Tennis Across America events can be held at any time of the year as long as the event is registered before the July 1 deadline. USPTA is continuing the tradition of emphasizing the multicultural segment of Tennis Across America as a means of increasing tennis participation at the grassroots level in 2008
. This is a free tennis event designed mostly for begginner players welcoming them to the game. We had a great turn out for our sessions, did tennis instructions, drills and played some points.

Working on putting together doubles version, right now, have a 4:00pm on Friday session looking for a couple of more people to round out the group.

Advanced tennis drills and play sessions, part tennis instruction part tennis matches

Hello Atlanta Tennis group, I have started doing the Combo Tennis sessions, this is part tennis instruction, part drill and part tennis matches, Ideally this is for the more advanced player but i would expect to be able to do this with pretty much any level of play. Rigth now I have a couple of times 3:45-5:30 Friday afternoon, Sunday 11am-12:30. looking at adding other times, ideally this would be a 3 to 4 person group to play doubles and the cost would be around $30 for the session.
